DNA paternity laws …?
I am a year 43. old and I wonder if there are laws that may exist (NJ), for me, to confirm the identity my biological father do? The man understood that my father was taken to the courts for many years. They show that he was my father … but there was no DNA then. He contacted me, invited me to lunch, but refuses a DNA test because he had an alleged lie all these years. Can you please give me information in order to make this possible. I do not want to ruin his life, but I want to confirm if it is really my father. Thanks for any valuable information, can provide.
Is necessary to bring a court of equity and seek equitable relief in the form of a DNA sample. Family Court is a court of equity dealing with cases like this. Added: do not be fooled by terms of age, you can request a DNA sample.
