custody in Maryland law?
I just discovered that my daughter is probably not mine, but have not had an official paternity test still. My name appears on his birth certificate. I need to know what are my rights if / when my wife and I are separated. Am I in danger of losing my daughter if I am to be the "real" father? Thank you both for your help.
Ugh …. If the baby was conceived during the marriage, the law assumes that you are the father ….. If you have signed the birth certificate, you are the legal parent, whether organic or not …. I will not comment further because they do not know the answer to what will happen if it is shown that is the father ….. Good luck to you!
