Is there any proof that someone knows what they can test for HPV in saliva? ?
I want the names of some tests, I would know that the laboratories and / or clinic can perform these tests. I learned that there is no FDA approved test for men for now, but I'm not sure if there is a way approved or not approved for HPV testing in saliva of men or women. Can a work of HPV DNA test? Or some kind of test antibody HPV? Please let me know what I can get the test and I can get this test. Thanks!
I am a bit of you and go with it. No, absolutely no evidence of saliva is that even had enough merit to be published as a trial – I could find. However, some laboratories and test HPV in men using the same test that is approved for women, and apparently with good results. The name of the Digene HPV test is the Hybrid Capture II. And this test not detect the HPV types most likely to cause cancer. This is a scratch test genital (women, scraping the cervix), however. I have found some tests for women who are being investigated, however, are more specific and find several types of HPV – but they are only supposed to improve genital scratch test exists today. My advice is to find a good urologist and discuss with them. You can get a referral from your family doctor or Planned Parenthood.
