Need answers about child support payments in Ontario!!?

So i’ve been split up from my ex for 4 months now. Right after I had gone to file papers for child support and custody. So on the papers from the ex. it stated that before he makes any child support payments, he wanted a DNA test done to make sure it was his son. so about 4 weeks ago, we got the results back, and OBVIOUSLY its his son. So im still waiting to hear from my lawyer about child support payments. So in that 4 months, my ex has spent around 250$ total on my son, just wondering if the courts will make him pay for the months that he did not????
ok for those who dont read the whole thing….yes i already filed papers in July, and yes i got legal aid and my own lawyer…. so my question was..will they make him back pay for the months that he did not pay for anything..even though the papers are still not settled yet in court.???/

Eventually an order will be made for him to pay all arrears of child support. When that order will happen in the process is a question you should ask your lawyer.

Unfortunately paralegals in Ontario are not allowed to represent or advise clients in matters before the family courts. The Law Society of Upper Canada who regulates lawyers and paralegals in Ontario has determined it is not in the public interest to have a less expensive paralegal advise you.The McGuinty Government decided it was best for the Law Society (who are not accountable to the public) to make those important decisions.
