Why is it so difficult for the Jewish people to believe that the Lemba tribe in Africa are the descendants of the Jews?
DNA tests have linked to the Lemba tribe of priests who are descendants of Aaron (Cohanim) So why do some Jews think that is impossible? I want to hear other people thought.
It is not impossible at all for the Jewish people. DNA is not automatic acceptance http://www.kulanu.org/lemba/hadassahonlemba.php back to Judaism, of course. All the tribes in the world who have found that the gene must Kohen undergo Orthodox conversion as well. This is because they are elements of other religions on societies over centuries with Jewish elements. One thing that must be purified, to become halachically Jewish.
