There's nothing like a father "and fishing" son trip to fill the gap between generations. It's a family tradition that has shared with me as a child with my father. The cycle continues and I share the same experience with my son. The "Lakes in the Kamloops area" have given us a unique opportunity to seal ties within our family.
I received my Father "Today" a week earlier this year when my oldest son could join Dano me in "Teepee Lakes" near Bankier, in the heart of the BC Interior South. Dano, now almost 30 years, started fishing with me at the age of three years when we moved to Kamloops. Our first trip together was a spring afternoon in Lake Campbell, "the day when the ice fell. The one who hung up the largest fish the day (and probably the largest trout he has ever made so far …) in a fish bowl as she sat between my legs for I am training. After catching a few zzz, we have fished Lake Friday morning, after catching a fish my line. We have, however, catch up on everything from future relationships, careers and employment hockey, contracts and the upcoming Olympic Games with family issues. With the lack of sleep that the two enjoyed the day, there was a great need for a nap in the afternoon.
After the excitement and something to eat, we went to Lagos and Sunday made a turn without much action. For the night, waiting Lago scheduled Saturday and again, only one fish in the boat. Even if there were a lot of people in the camp, we were left alone when we went to the lake Saturday and Sunday. The isolation of the lakes makes you a relatively quiet at any time.
